23 February 2011 Today I received an appreciation award from the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries. I was given the award in recognition of my achievements for rehabilitating Kabul and for providing citizens with quality public services.
I would like to dedicate this award to the sanitation workers who cleaned the streets during the cold winter, to the street reconstruction workers for their efforts and also to the seven thousand Kabul Municipality personnel for their efforts to achieve our goals to make Kabul a better, cleaner and greener city.
